Im a long time beginner surfer and just started to make turns so I bought a surf skate to practice as the waves we have are short. But now I found out I skate goofy but surf regulare. Now my question is that I think Im more stable and have a better goofy stance but learned to surf regulare because Im used to with my box stance. Do you think it is worth it to start practacing goofy stance and start from the beginning or keep surfing regulare?
Im a kid i am 4’9 tall i did start off with a 5’8 shortboard and i was wondering if that was ok

This is the first video out of countless ones I've watched that made sense to me. All these other videos had me poo manning and it did not FEEL right. I was going to sell my surf skate until I watched this. Visually seeing the difference between poo manning and what you just taught us blew my mind. It looks so elegant and not like someone having a seziure in order to build momentum. THANK YOU so much. Knowledge is power. 0.o

Love the variations in expanding range of motion. I am sure this will impact positively my surfing progress as an intermediate.
I need this! I get horrible knots in that area. Any stretches that dont involve a ball? Id like to do them right before and after i surf on the beach.

Can you put fins in your carry on? They are really sharp and wonder what security would say My fins are custom from Greg Griffin and I would hate to lose the fins if the board bag went missing?

I can definitely relate to the biomechanic aspect of this post. Just trained 5 weeks sold for a half marathon and really didn’t surf great towards the end of that period (felt stiff and lacked rotational movement). Going for a marathon now in 5 weeks time so I’ll get some surf skate training in to try and retain some surfing biomechanics
Can you do the same breakdown but for women? Our torso to leg ratio is much different than men’s, so we don’t have has much space to lift our (proportionally longer) legs up. A little help please. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

@@SurfStrengthCoachI didn’t know, thank you! Carissa Moore’s shoulders are much wider than all the other female surfers though - that’s something I’ve always noticed and wondered about. It’d be great to see some different types of female shapes pop up, since everybody’s weight distribution is different.

How about part 2: exercises that strengthen these muscles. Hip flexors...lower abs...burpees?

Dude, what brand/model/length of board is that? Looks to be 9.5"-10" wide. And around 32" long, but that doesn't mean I'm right. Im just a 60+ skater looking to upgrade my ride. Oh, PooMan... Its just a slalom pump, useful for not having to push up slight inclines and gettting speed going downhill. I was doing it in a contest back in '77, pushed too hard, had the board dona 360 under my front foot and got the second-fastest time of the day... Which didn't count because I crossed the line in a low ballistic trajectory 🤣🤣🤣
